Erie Carbonic has filled tanks on East 9th Street since 1965. The building hasn't moved, the phone number hasn't changed, and the price is still on a hand-written tag.
If you live in Erie and you need CO2 — for a welder, a bar tap, a keezer in the basement, a paintball tank, a freshwater aquarium, or a block of dry ice on a long drive — you've driven past this place a thousand times.

- Do I need an appointment?
- Walk in any time before 10 AM, Monday through Saturday. Coming later in the day? Give us a call and we’ll have someone at the counter for you.
- Do you take cards?
- Walk-in refills are cash at the counter. Route accounts and larger commercial orders are invoiced — call the shop to set one up.
- Do I need my own tank?
- Bring your tank and we refill it. If you don’t have one, we carry common sizes new and used.
- What’s the biggest tank you fill?
- 330 cu ft industrial cylinders. If it fits through the bay door, it probably fits on the fill rack.
- Do you deliver?
- Yes — we run route service for restaurants, bars, food service, and industrial accounts. Call the shop and we’ll work you in.
- How long does a refill take?
- Usually under ten minutes. Longer during the summer rush — bring a book or come back after lunch.

Off Parade, two blocks south of the Bayfront. Pull up, come in, hand over the tank. That's the whole workflow.
